Current development version

The current development version of ArtiSynth is available from the Subversion repository at https://svn.artisynth.org/svn/artisynth_core/trunk :

> svn co https://svn.artisynth.org/svn/artisynth_core/trunk artisynth_core

If you do decide to work from the current development version, we recommend that you subscribe to the updates mailing list, to be notified of updates and changes.

Current stable release (compiled, with source and docs)

Note that anatomical models are no longer bundled with the core distribution. Publicly available models can be downloaded separately from Models.

Quick start

Windows: Unzip the file into a folder, preferably one that does not contain spaces in the name, and run $ARTISYNTH_HOME\bin\artisynth.bat, where ARTISYNTH_HOME is the installation folder.

MacOS: Unzip the file into a folder, and run $ARTISYNTH_HOME/bin/artisynth (or double click on $ARTISYNTH_HOME/bin/artisynth.command), where ARTISYNTH_HOME is the installation folder.

Linux: Unzip the file into a folder, and run $ARTISYNTH_HOME/bin/artisynth, where ARTISYNTH_HOME is the installation folder.

To run demonstration models, select 'Models > Demos' in the main menu. Selecting a particular model will cause it to be loaded and displayed in the viewer. The model can then be run using the "play" button at the upper right.
